The number of new coronavirus cases in India increased by 918 in a single day, while the number of active cases increased by 6,350, according to figures updated on Monday by the Union health ministry.
The nation’s COVID-19 death toll has grown to 5,30,806, with the four most recent deaths recorded by Rajasthan, Karnataka, Kerala, and two others.
The data, which was updated at 8 am, showed that the weekly positivity was 0.86 percent and the daily positivity was 2.08 percent.
The total number of infections is 4.46 crore (4,46,96,338).
According to the health ministry website, the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.8%, and the active cases currently make up 0.01 percent of the overall cases.
44,225 tests for the detection of Covid have been performed in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests for this purpose to 92.03 crores.
4,41,59,182 persons had recovered from the illness overall, and the case fatality rate was 1.19 percent.
The ministry reports that the country has already received 220.65 crore doses of the Covid vaccine as part of the widespread vaccination campaign.
