A man in Chhattisgarh stabs a woman 51 times with a screwdriver because she refused to speak with him.

Police claimed on Tuesday that a man killed a 20-year-old lady by stabbing her 51 times with a screwdriver in Chhattisgarh’s Korba district after she refused to speak with him.

The event occurred in the South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) pump house community on December 24, according to the city superintendent of police (Korba), Vishwadipak Tripathi.

The police report that the victim was alone in the house when the suspect came. He stuffed a pillow over her mouth to mask her screams before stabbing her 51 times with a screwdriver.

According to the official, the victim’s brother discovered her in a pool of blood upon his return home.

Preliminary investigations had found that the accused, who belongs from the region of Jashpur, was acquainted with the victim three years ago, when he was working as a conductor on a passenger bus, and the woman was a frequent passenger on that bus, said the official.

The accused eventually relocated to Ahmedabad, Gujarat, for employment, and the two remained in contact through telephone. After the woman ended their phone conversation, the suspect allegedly threatened her parents, according to the official.

He stated that a case had been opened and four police teams had been constituted to locate the fugitive suspect.
