A SC judge grants anticipatory bail to businessman Raj Kundra and others accused of pornography

In response to a complaint against them for allegedly distributing pornographic videos, the Supreme Court granted anticipatory bail to Raj Kundra, Sherlyn Chopra, and Poonam Pandey on Tuesday.
Additionally, a bench of Justices K M Joseph and B V Nagarathna ordered Kundra and the other accused to cooperate with the investigation.
After hearing the counsel for the parties, the bench is of the opinion that anticipatory bail should be granted to the petitioners.
As a representative of one of the petitioners, senior advocate R Basant submitted that a chargesheet had already been filed in the case and that the accused were cooperating with the police in the investigation.
Kundra had been granted interim protection from arrest in this case by the top court earlier this year.
According to Kundra, he had been charged under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, Indecent Representation of Women Act and Information Technology Act for allegedly disseminating/ transmitting sexually explicit material.
As co-accused, Chopra and Pandey are named in the FIR.
Lawyers for Kundra maintain that he has been in no way associated with the creation, publication, or transmission of alleged illegal videos despite the actors, who were co-accused, having consented to their shooting.
