A Surat man has been arrested for allegedly spying for the ISI

On Tuesday, the Gujarat Police apprehended a 33-year-old man from Surat on suspicion of spying and allegedly working for the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI, the Gujarat Police said.
A crime branch sleuth from the diamond city, acting on a tip from Pune-based Military Intelligence, arrested Deepak Kishor Bhai Salunkhe.
Sai Fashions, a shop that was run by the man from Bhuvneswari Nagar in Surat, was identified by the sources as the business he ran.
According to a source, the ISI agent has been handed over to the special operations group of the Gujarat Police for further investigation.
Salunkhe could be considered a financial module that received/transferred money to serving officials as well as civilians (in India) in exchange for crucial information, according to the sources.
