All schools in Jammu and Kashmir have a standard academic calendar

On Friday, the Jammu and Kashmir government decided to implement a uniform academic calendar in all schools in the union territory, including the annual examinations for class nine in the March-April session.

The order issued by Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary, School Education Department, said, “… to implement uniform academic calendar including holding of annual examinations in March-April session for classes up to nine in all government and government recognized private schools.” Approved are given to schools in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.” It said that new admissions in all schools would start in March of the calendar year.
