Arms and ammunition have been seized after an encounter with Maoists in Jharkhand

During an encounter with CPI (Maoist) cadres at a village in the Chatra district of Jharkhand, approximately 140 kilometers from Ranchi, the Jharkhand Police recovered a cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives.

A team from the CRPF’s 190 battalion and the state police conducted an operation after receiving information that CPI (Maoist) members of Special Area Committee member Gautam Paswan and Regional Committee member Indel Ganjhu had gathered in Fata village’s forest area and engaged the Maoists in a gunfight.
