Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot appear together in unity following the ‘gaddar’ row

On Tuesday, the two Congress leaders appeared together in a show of unity following Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s description of former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot as a “traitor” (gaddar) who colluded with the BJP.

While speaking to reporters in Jaipur, Gehlot stated that Rahul Gandhi had stated that Gehlot and Pilot are assets to the party. On the other hand, Sachin Pilot stated that the Bharat Jodo Yatra would be welcomed in Rajasthan with maximum enthusiasm and energy.

As part of preparations for the Bharat Jodo Yatra, the party’s leaders addressed a press conference after attending a meeting on December 4.

The AICC general secretary, KC Venugopal, who attended the press conference with Gehlot and Pilot, stated: “We are united.”. In this instance, Ashok Ji and Sachin Pilot Ji have stated that the Congress party in Rajasthan is united. The Indian news agency ANI reported that Rahul Gandhi has clearly stated that both Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot are assets for the party.

Taking both leaders’ hands in a tussle of power within the Rajasthan Congress, Venugopal said, “This is the Rajasthan Congress.”.

In order to ensure that the warring leaders remain on the same page and that the yatra does not become overshadowed or hampered by their dispute, Venugopal arrived in Jaipur on Saturday.

Amidst the political turmoil in Rajasthan, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi recently stated that Gehlot and Pilot are “assets” of the party. According to Gehlot, Rahul Gandhi stated that both leaders are assets.

It is not my intention to get into who said what. Congress is fortunate to have both of these leaders. At a press conference in Indore, Rahul stated that the (feud) would not affect the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Gehlot Tuesday responded that when Rahul Gandhi ji has stated that assets are assets – he is the leader of us all – that assets are assets (that assets are assets) then we are indeed assets. Why is a discussion necessary? Before independence and after independence, our party has been characterized by its discipline under its leader. Congress president sets the rules for the party. After he’s done talking, there’s nothing left to say.”

According to the CM, the party’s main issue is the assembly elections scheduled for 2023, and the mood favors the Congress party. There is no doubt in my mind that we will win the assembly elections. As a result of the introduction of several innovative programs and schemes, people throughout the state are benefiting from them. People respond enthusiastically to my visits. That means the government will repeat itself,” he said.

Gehlot pointed out that the BJP should concentrate on its own affairs rather than criticizing Congress.

Gehlot launched a sharp attack on Sachin Pilot on November 24, referring to him as a “traitor (gaddar)” who colluded with the BJP. Additionally, he asserted that Pilot does not have the support of even ten MLAs and, therefore cannot become the chief minister.

As a response, Pilot stated that “name-calling” and “mudslinging” serve no purpose. Using such language is unworthy of someone with such experience, which is why I have refused to do so, Pilot stated as quoted by the news agency PTI.
