The National Investigation Agency on Thursday searched 20 places in Bihar in connection with the Phulwari Sharif terror case, which it had taken from the police.

According to the agency, the search operation was carried out in Nalanda, Katihar, Araria, Madhubani, Patna, Vaishali, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, and Saran districts.

“Search was conducted this morning in Siva Ganga district of Tamil Nadu and Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka in connection with the involvement of Popular Front of India (PFI) in anti-national activities,” the NIA said in a statement. “During the searches conducted today at the premises of the accused and suspects, incriminating material including digital devices and documents have been seized.”

In July, the agency had searched 10 locations in Patna, Darbhanga, East Champaran, Nalanda, and Madhubani districts when a retired Jharkhand policeman and two others from a “potential terror module” were arrested.
