BSNL officer caught taking nap in minister’s meeting took VRS

According to an official source, a senior BSNL official, who was caught snoozing at Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw’s meeting after the cabinet approved a Rs 1.64 lakh crore package for the public place enterprise, has donated from the service.

In an All India Chief General Manager( CGM) position meeting in the foremost week of August, the Minister, in brief, queried the BSNL workers to perform and make their best expenditures to produce the loss-making and debt-ridden telecom establishment functional in 24 months conclude for Voluntary Retirement Scheme( VRS).

“ In the get-together, the minister had trapped a CGM taking a nap and interrogated him to straightaway leave the room and take VRS. His VRS has been approved now.

The officer was working out as CGM, Quality Assurance and Inspection in Bengaluru.

In the get-together, Vaishnaw had told that those who can not work can take VRS and take rest at home and if similar officers have any hesitancy in taking VRS yet the government can introduce mandatory retirement regulations as done in railways.
