Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials on Wednesday arrested K Rajesh, a 2011 batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, in connection with a complaint lodged with the agency on May 18 regarding alleged irregularities in the grant of arms license. A CBI official said, “After a thorough investigation, we arrested K Rajesh on Wednesday in the corruption case.”
Agency sources said he was summoned by a CBI official on Wednesday. “Since he was not cooperating during the interrogation, he was arrested and sent to the civil hospital in Asarwa for medical examination,” a CBI official said.
