CM Baghel has threatened to take action if central agencies target anyone unnecessarily.

Bhupesh Baghel, the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, has said the state police will take stern action if they receive complaints that central agencies are targeting anyone “unnecessarily”.
In a function on Monday evening held in Durg district, Baghel said that people shouldn’t be afraid of the Enforcement Directorate, Department of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) or Income Tax Department.
The chief minister promised that if you have been unnecessarily targeted, stern action will be taken against the officers concerned (of the central agencies) in any police station in the state.
The truth must be fought. A person should be punished if he commits a crime. Government cannot be run by creating fear,” he said.
In his later interviews with reporters, Baghel discussed complaints regarding people targeted by the DRI, IT department, and ED in the state.
I would like to welcome all the central agencies. It is not our intention to oppose them. Action must be taken if anything wrong has occurred. Police will take action against (the officers concerned of central agencies) if they are harassed and if a complaint is received,” he said.
Baghel said he didn’t know much about the turmoil within the ruling Congress in Rajasthan and hoped it would be resolved soon.
