Congress will double its LS vote tally with Bharat Jodo Yatra: TMC’s Shatrughan Sinha
The Bharat Jodo Yatra has demonstrated Rahul Gandhi’s leadership abilities, according to TMC MP Shatrughan Sinha.
During an interview with PTI, Sinha stated that Gandhi’s 3,570-kilometer march that began in Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu will help Congress double its numbers in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In the 2019 elections, Congress won 52 seats.
The Bharati Jodo Yatra is receiving a very positive response. Rahul Gandhi’s charisma has begun to work, and he is receiving a very positive response from the public. It is my belief that Gandhi’s yatra will assist in doubling the number of Congress members in Parliament in the next Lok Sabha election,” he said.
This is a ‘yatra’ in the true sense as Gandhi is walking as opposed to the ‘Rath yatras’ by BJP leaders. He is receiving the support of thousands of people. As a leader, he has demonstrated his abilities. He has been accepted as a leader by the public. “Those who mocked him as ‘Pappu’ and did not take him seriously have been proven wrong,” he stated.
Former BJP MP Sinha briefly joined the Congress in 2019 following disagreements with his former party. A popular actor from the 1970s and 1980s, he joined the TMC earlier this year and successfully contested the by-election from Asansol, an industrial town in West Bengal with a large Bihari population.

Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Chief Minister, was either going to be the “kingmaker” or the “king” himself in the Gujarat elections, according to the TMC leader.

In his remarks, Sinha expressed hope that the relationship between the TMC and the Congress would improve following the election of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in 2024.

Sinha said that the people of the country will elect the right leader for the 2024 elections despite the opposition’s efforts.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s NDA minister Sinha asserted that anti-BJP parties are gaining traction in states such as Bihar, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.
Moreover, Sinha blamed the BJP for the “missing” posters in Asansol, his constituency, last week.
