Professor Hanit Gandhi, Dean of Admissions, DU, told The Deccan Era, “We are sending bulk emails as a reminder to all the 6 lakh students who opted for DU on the CUET portal. So far, more than 2 lakh applicants have registered on the CSAS portal.

Gandhi said half of the 2 lakh candidates registered on DU’s CSAS portal indicated their college and program preferences.

Gandhi had earlier told this newspaper that at the end of the second phase on October 10, “a mock list will be issued before the start of the first round of seat allotment rounds that will allow students to know where they stand, Post which window will be opened for correction. Students can then change the order of their choice”.

On Monday (October 3), less than six lakh candidates who marked DU as their preferred university while registering for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) applied to the university, reports The Indian Express. Till last evening, DU has crossed the two lakh applications mark. However, it is still much lower than the 2.87 lakh applications received in the previous year and 3.53 lakh in 2020.
