Embassies of the United Kingdom plan to award visas within 15 working days

According to the United Kingdom, visit visas will now be issued within 15 working days to Indians travelling to the country. In a video message, Alex Ellis, British High Commissioner to India, said there were good news for those traveling from India to the United Kingdom. Visit visas are now available within 15 working days (with a few trickier cases taking longer),” he said.
In the message posted on Twitter, Ellis stated that there are still “a few cases that take longer, very complex ones, and that’s okay”, adding that “this allows new people to move to India and the UK with much greater ease.”
A UK Standard Visitor visa is applicable when visiting family or friends, on a business trip, on vacation, or enrolling in a short course of study. Additionally, a priority visa option is available, which now has a turnaround time of five days, according to the UK, which added that there is going to be a large intake of student visas for the session beginning in January 2023.
Two months ago, I stated that our goal was to resume processing India to Great Britain visa applications within our standard 15-day processing time by the end of the year. Now, we have achieved this goal.
Over the past few weeks, both countries have taken steps to ease visa issues for applicants. “Good news for the living bridge”, as people will be able to move between India and the United Kingdom with much greater ease now.
It was announced earlier this month by the Indian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Vikram Doraiswami, that India is preparing to resume the e-visa system for British citizens traveling to the country.
