Exclusive photo…’: Owaisi’s jab at Gehlot on the murder of Muslim men in Bhiwani

Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), criticised the chief minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, on Tuesday for the killing of two men, Nasir and Junaid, whose bodies were found in a charred state in Bhiwani after allegedly being abducted from Bharatpur, Rajasthan.

“BREAKING: Exclusive photo of @ashokgehlot51 meeting Junaid’s and Nasir’s family,” tweeted Owaisi beside an empty photograph.

Owaisi said that the Rajasthan government’s delay in responding to the missing persons report filed by the families of the two men allowed the suspects to depart the state.

Owaisi was quoted by PTI as saying, “Had the Rajasthan government taken fast action on the missing complaint pertaining to Junaid and Nasir, they (the abductors) would not have been able to cross the Rajasthan border.”

Nasir and Junaid were allegedly kidnapped last Wednesday from Bharatpur, Rajasthan, and their bodies were discovered in a burnt vehicle the next morning in Loharu, Bhiwani, Haryana. The families of the murdered men alleged in their police complaint that the abductors were members of Bajrang Dal, the youth wing of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.

A senior police officer stated that early questioning of the arrested suspect, Rinku Saini of the Nuh area, revealed cow vigilantism as the motive for the murder. The relatives of Nasir and Junaid organised a sit-in protest in Bharatpur on Monday, seeking justice.

Tuesday, the Rajasthan Police named eight additional suspects for their suspected participation in the crime. Umesh Mishra, the director general of police (DGP) of Rajasthan, stated that there are suspicions regarding the involvement of other individuals in the case. To apprehend the remaining eight suspects, police are conducting raids.
