Through a fake company, Crypto World Trading Company, four men were arrested in Ambala Tuesday on charges of cheating people.There were four accused, Kapil, Vikas Kalra from Ambala City, Tarun Taneja and Ramesh Kumar from Kurukshetra.
Kapil was arrested in Maheshnagar on September 6, Vikas in Amritsar (Punjab) on September 8, Tarun in Pilani (Rajasthan) on September 10, and Ramesh in Ambala on September 12.
Property worth about Rs 60 lakh has been seized from the accused during the investigation. Along with the freezing of 13 bank accounts, four vehicles, cash, and gold have been seized.
According to the complaint, the accused claimed to invest in Crypto World Trading Company but actually duped them. Following the registration of the case, police personnel from the economic, crime, and cyber wings were constituted to probe the case further.
