Gandhi Museum opens in New Jersey

A museum dedicated to the life and message of Mahatma Gandhi has been opened in Atlantic City, United States.

Inaugurated this past weekend, the museum features artifacts and interactive digital display screens, and visitors will be able to interactively view events in the life of the Apostle of Peace.

The event was attended by Randhir Jaiswal, a member of the eminent Indian American community and Consul General of India in New York.

Developed by the New Jersey-based Gandhian Society in partnership with the Aditya Birla Group, it is the first museum dedicated to the “Father of the Nation” in the United States.

A media release said that the museum is expected to partner with the Martin Luther King Foundation to showcase the lives and messages of two of the most remarkable men of the modern era.

Jaiswal, in his remarks, appreciated the efforts of Gandhian Society and its founder Bhadra Butala on this project and also enjoyed the Birla group for bringing this museum to the USA.
