High Court grants bail to Shrikant Tyagi

Allahabad High Court granted bail to Shrikant Tyagi, who was arrested last month for assaulting a woman in Noida’s Grand Omaxe society.
Tyagi was arrested in Meerut on August 9. Sections 354 (outraging women’s modesty and assault), 447 (criminal trespass), 323 (voluntarily causing harm), 504 (intentional insult), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code was used against him.
He was later arrested under the Gangster Act after a group of men, allegedly his supporters, broke into the housing society, looking to arrest the woman complainant.
Also, Tyagi was accused of using UP government stickers on his vehicles as a form of intimidation, and an impersonation case was filed against him.
Several local courts granted Tyagi bail, but in one case, he was denied bail because of the Gangster Act.
After that, Tyagi filed a lawsuit in the High Court.
