Huge investment in infrastructure for job generation in Uttarakhand: PM at Rozgar Mela

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that the central government is continually working to guarantee that the youth of Uttarakhand return to their villages, and that massive investments in infrastructure for job development will be made.

He was virtually addressing a Rozgar Mela in Dehradun to deliver appointment letters to assistant teachers.

“We must overcome the previous assumption that the ‘water and youth strength of hills often stay untapped by the hill region,” he said. As a result, the central government is working hard to guarantee that the youth of Uttarakhand return to their communities. For this, new employment and self employment opportunities are being created in the hills”.

“Now, you can see that multiple roads are being built and railway lines are being installed,” the prime minister remarked. Uttarakhand is making significant investments in infrastructure. As a result, travelling to remote areas is becoming more convenient. As a result, a great number of employment are being produced. Construction labour, engineering, raw material industries, and even retail are all seeing an increase in job prospects. Youth are finding new opportunities as demand for transportation grows. Formerly, my rural youth in Uttarakhand had to relocate to the city for these types of jobs. Thousands of young people are now employed in common service centres that provide internet and digital services in every village.”

He noted that the remote areas of Uttarakhand are being connected by road, rail, and internet, which is assisting in the growth of the tourism industry.

“New tourist destinations are appearing on the tourism map. As a result, the young of Uttarakhand are obtaining comparable types of career prospects closer to home, for which they previously had to relocate to large cities,” Modi added.

The PM highlighted that the Mudra Yojana is playing a crucial role in boosting employment and self-employment opportunities in the tourism sector.

“Till date, 38 crore Mudra loans have been distributed across the country. “Approximately 8 crore young people have become entrepreneurs for the first time,” he remarked.

He went on to say that both the central and state BJP governments are working hard to ensure that all young people are given new chances based on their interests and abilities.

Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state’s chief minister, complimented PM Modi for offering his useful advice for the state’s long-term growth.

He stated that the state administration is conducting a push to fill empty positions in various agencies and is committed to a bright future for kids.

“Some individuals are talking about postponing the examinations,” Dhami remarked. Yet, we want to make certain that the youth do not waste their time. As a result, all recruiting exams are held on time. To maintain transparency in all recruitment exams, we enacted an anti-copying law. It is the country’s most stringent law.”
