“I have murdered the Rahul in your head,” says Rahul Gandhi to a reporter.

In response to a question on how the Bharat Jodo Yatra has affected his image, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi stated on Sunday during a press conference that he has “killed Rahul Gandhi” and is unconcerned. “Rahul Gandhi is in your mind. I have slain him. He is missing. Not at all in my mind. He’s gone. “Gone,” stated the congressman.

“The individual you are observing is not Rahul Gandhi. He can be seen. You don’t understand it… Read Hindu scriptures. Read about Lord Shiva (Shiv-ji), then you will comprehend. Don’t be surprised. Your mind contains Rahul Gandhi, not mine. “He is in the head of the BJP, not mine,” he explained to the reporter who posed the issue.

Gandhi delivered a harsh attack on Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the Modi administration at the conclusion of the fourth day of his Bharat Jodo Yatra in Haryana on Monday, stating, “Congress is a ‘Sangathan of tapasya,’ whereas BJP is of forced ‘puja’.”

“Tapasya is the best answer to such coercive worship” (which he claims is the act of the Congress). “In this yatra, not one person is performing Tapasya, but rather lakhs of people are, and the yatra is a testament to this,” he stated. This nation is performing tapasya, and the government should respect this practise. I am confident that India’s farmers and small business owners will soon reap the benefits of their tapasya,” he continued.

Gandhi termed RSS the “Kauravas of the 21st century” when he concluded his yatra in Haryana, the site of the Mahabharata conflict. Who exactly were the Kauravas? Let me tell you about the Kauravas of the 21st century. They are dressed in khaki half-pants and carry lathis and shakhas. The two or three billionaires of India are standing with the Kauravas.”

The leader of the Congress similarly compared the Congress to the Pandavas. “Kya Pandavon ne kisi gareeb aadmi ke khilaaf apraadh kiya tha? Kya Pandavon ne demonetisation kiya kya; notebandi ki thi kya; galat GST lagu ki thi kya? (Did the Pandavas ever act against the disadvantaged? Did they execute demonetization and incorrect GST?) Would they have done so ever? Never. Why? Because they knew that demonetization, incorrect GST, and farm rules were ways to steal from tapasvis, he claimed.

He stated that the current conflict is comparable to the one fought between the Pandavas and the Kauravas. “People do not comprehend, yet the fight remains the same now… On the one hand were these five tapasvis, and on the other was the’sangathan’ (organisation). There were members of various religions living with the Pandavas. As with this Yatra, nobody asks anyone about their origins. This Yatra is a love store. The Pandavas had likewise taken a stand against injustice; they, too, had set up shop in the marketplace of hatred. Again targeting the RSS, he stated that RSS members never say Har Har Mahadev. “Why? Given that Lord Shiva is a tapasavi”.
