In Kanker, Chhattisgarh, a youngster shot and killed the senior constable of the CAF.

An officer of the Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) was fatally shot by his subordinate while they were on duty in a government college in the Kanker district of Chhattisgarh early on Sunday.
The men were assigned to guard a vault on the college grounds where a by-election for the Bhanupratappur Assembly seat in the district was held.
The alleged incident occurred at approximately 7:00 a.m., when accused jawan Purushottam Singh and deceased head constable Surendra Bhagat clashed over an unidentified matter and Singh opened fire with his rifle.
After the incident, Singh locked himself in the room, but his superiors persuaded him to unlock the door and arrested him.
Superintendent of Police Shalabh Sinha told The Indian Express, “He and all of his colleagues are being questioned to determine the cause of the altercation. Currently, it is unclear.”
The by-election was held earlier this month, after which the EVMs were secured in a vault under the protection of CAF officers.
