The finance ministry said on Saturday that GST collections increased by 26 percent in September to over Rs 1.47 lakh crore.
The Goods and Services Tax (GST) mop-up has exceeded Rs 1.40 lakh crore for seven consecutive months.
As of September 2022, the gross GST revenue collected was Rs 1,47,686 crore, of which Rs 25,271 crore were collected by the Central Government and Rs 31,813 crore were collected by the State Government. Integrated GST was Rs 80,464 crore (including Rs 41,215 crore collected on import of goods) and Cess was Rs 10,137 crore (including Rs 856 crore collected on import of goods), according to a statement from the ministry.
