India condemns the terrorist attack on Shah-e-Cherag Dargah in Iran

India on Saturday strongly condemned the terror attack on Iran’s Shah-e-Cherag shrine. It said it was another reminder that terrorism is one of the biggest threats to international peace and security.

At least 15 people were killed and 40 others injured in an attack on a shrine in Shiraz city on Wednesday evening, according to reports from Iran.

“India strongly condemns the terrorist attack on Shah-e-Cherag Dargah in Shiraz, Iran. We express our deepest condolences to the victims’ families and the people of Iran,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA) said.

It said that the world should unite and fight terrorism.

“This heinous attack is a better reminder that terrorism remains the biggest and most significant threat to international peace and security. The need of the hour is for the world’s countries to unite and combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. “Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
