On Friday night, during the first half of Juventus’ 1-0 victory over Sporting Lisbon, keeper Wojciech Szczesny was seen leaving the pitch while holding his chest because he was struggling to breathe’ The ambience at the stadium became tense when Szczesny walked off the pitch holding his chest.

Szczesny required medical attention in the 41st minute after clutching his chest, and a number of his teammates were visibly concerned, gesturing for the custodian to receive assistance from the sideline.

The Poland international left the pitch in tears, accompanied by the Juventus medical staff, to a standing ovation from the crowd.

Shortly before halftime, Mattia Perin replaced Wojciech Szczesny in goal for Juventus.

Szczesny stated, “I am fine, I was a little anxious, but we ran all the tests and everything is fine.”
