Jairam Ramesh, a senior Congress leader, had described Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan as “mundu Modi” and the CPI(M) as the “A” team of the BJP about two months ago. Earlier this week, Ramesh referred to Sitaram Yechury as a “two-in-one” general secretary of the CPI(M) and the Congress.
During a seminar organized by RSP to commemorate its national conference, Ramesh and Yechury shared the dais with CPI general secretary D Raja. Opposition leaders agreed that they should fight against the Narendra Modi government.
In addition to being the general secretary of CPM, Yechury is also the general secretary of Congress. The influence he has in Congress can sometimes be greater than the influence he has in the CPM. Raja can be said to be the same,” he added.
