Justice Singh’s name has been sent to be made Tripura HC Chief Justice.

One of the recommendations was to make S. Muralidhar, who is currently the Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court, the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court. But it hasn't been approved by the Centre yet.

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court Collegium said that Justice Jaswant Singh of the Orissa High Court should be made Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court.

In an official statement, it said, “The Supreme Court Collegium at its meeting on January 25, 2023, on reconsideration and in place of its earlier recommendation from September 28, 2022, has recommended that Justice Jaswant Singh, a judge on the Orissa High Court, be made Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court.” When it made its decision on September 28, 2022, the Collegium said that Justice Jaswant Singh should be made Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court. One of the recommendations was to make S. Muralidhar, who is currently the Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court, the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court. But it hasn’t been approved by the Centre yet.
