After leading Argentina to World Cup glory in Qatar on Sunday, Lionel Messi announced that he would not retire from international football.
In Messi’s words, “Obviously, I wanted to complete my career with this achievement, and I cannot ask for more.” “Finishing my career in this manner is an honor. After this, what is left to do? I have a Copa América and a World Cup to contend with. We are almost at the end of the process.
“I am passionate about soccer and what I do. Being a member of the national team, the group, is an enjoyable experience for me. Being a world champion, I wish to enjoy a couple of more matches.”
