National Talent Search Examination( NTSE) laid over by NCERT

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) today announced that the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) had been put on hold till further orders.

According to the official notice of NCERT, NTSE was approved only till March 31, 2021, and since then, it has not been approved. The scheme has been put on hold till further notice.

“National Talent Search Scheme is a Central Sector Scheme completely funded by the Ministry of Education (MoE) Government of India (Government of India). NCERT is an implementing mechanism for the NTS strategy. The scheme will be approved by March 31, 2021. Further implementation of the scheme in its present form has not been approved and has been put on hold until further orders. This is for the information of all concerned,” reads the official notice.

Recently, NTSE 2021 was conducted on October 24, 2021, at 68 exam centres across the country, and the final result was released on February 18 on the official website of NCERT – ncert.nic.in. The provision was released by result and OMR sheet through the official NCERT website of the Council on February 9, 2022.

NTSE is a scholarship program funded by the Ministry of Education (MoE) Government of India (Government of India) and conducted by NCERT. The scholarship exam is conducted annually in Phase 1 (State level) and Phase 2 (National level). While the states show the first phase, the second phase is hosted by NCERT.
