Netflix series Khakee led to graft charges against Bihar IPS officer Amit Lodha

As a result of the release of the web series Khakee: The Bihar Chapter, Bihar IPS officer Amit Lodha rose to fame. After being charged with corruption and going into a commercial deal with Netflix while on a government job, he was suspended.

According to an official statement, Lodha signed a deal with Friday Storytellers and the streaming platform while working as an IPS officer for financial gain. According to the statement, the department found that the allegations of corruption against Lodha were true during its investigation, which led to the Special Vigilance Unit registering a case on December 7 under sections 120B and 168 as sections from the Prevention of Corruption Act.

An officer at the Deputy Superintendent of Police level will look into it. Lodha tweeted after the charges: “Sometimes life can throw you the most difficult challenges, particularly when you’re right.” It’s during these times that you show your strength of character. Please pray and support me to win.”

There’s a tussle between two men on both sides of the law in Khakee: The Bihar Chapter, one a gang lord and the other a fiercely upright Indian Police Service officer.
