“Nice to see some old friends”: Ronaldo posts images with Lionel Messi, Mbappe, and Neymar.

“I am overjoyed to be back on the field and the scoreboard!! And it’s great to see some old friends!” wrote Cristiano Ronaldo following a friendly match against PSG captained by Lionel Messi.

Ronaldo made his debut for the Al-Nassr club on Thursday at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, his first appearance since signing a contract with the club. The 37-year-old footballer took to Instagram to post photos from the exhibition match against his longtime nemesis Lionel Messi and PSG.

The Portuguese star also posted a photo of himself alongside Messi and his teammates. The two can be seen standing side-by-side with Ronaldo’s hand on Messi’s shoulder.

Messi’s Qatari-backed PSG defeated a combined XI of Saudi Arabian clubs Al Nassr and Al Hilal, captained by Al Nassr’s new acquisition Ronaldo, 5-4 in front of 68,000 spectators at King Fahd International Stadium.

Despite his team’s defeat, Ronaldo prevailed in what may have been the final chapter of Ronaldo vs. Messi as one of the greatest rivalries in soccer restarted in an unusual place.
