PM Modi and other leaders pay tribute to APJ Abdul Kalam on the occasion of his birth anniversary

In honor of APJ Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the tributes.

The Prime Minister tweeted a video highlighting the ex-president’s achievements and contributions to the nation. It was said that he struck a chord with all sections of society during his tenure as President.

As a tribute to Kalam’s spirit, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal highlighted his compassion for the disadvantaged and how he continues to inspire people today.

On the anniversary of the birth of the former president, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee also paid tribute to him.

Union Minister of State for Science and Technology and Atomic Energy, Dr Jitendra Singh, shared his picture and expressed his gratitude for being associated with him on a professional and personal level.

The Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, also paid tribute to Kalam on this occasion, expressing how the vision of Kalam continues to inspire many in today’s world

The late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam served as India’s 11th president from 2002 to 2007 and died in 2015 at the age of 84 while delivering a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management Shillong.
