PM Modi extends condolences to Sharad Yadav’s family

Former union minister Sharad Yadav passed suddenly on Thursday at a private hospital in Gurugram, according to press sources. Yadav’s daughter Subhashini Yadav confirmed the report. He was 75.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted: “Pained by the passing away of Shri Sharad Yadav Ji. He distinguished himself as an MP and Minister during his long career in public life. He was strongly motivated by Dr. Lohia’s ideals. I will always remember our conversations. Condolences to his loved ones and family. Om Shanti.”

A statement from Fortis Memorial Research Institute revealed that Yadav was brought to the emergency room in an unconscious and unresponsive state. He did not have a pulse or recordable blood pressure, it stated.
“He received CPR in accordance with ACLS guidelines. Despite all efforts, he could not be resuscitate and was pronounced dead at 10.19 p.m. “We would want to express our heartfelt condolences to his family,” Fortis said in a statement.
The Congress president also conveyed his sympathies.

Yadav is survived by his wife, a daughter, and a son.
