On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Indian support and disaster relief teams that were dispatched to quake-ravaged Turkey, stating that in recent years India has established its reputation as a country that is not only self-sufficient but also selfless.

Three NDRF teams were dispatched to the earthquake-affected country on February 7 in response to a mandate from Prime Minister Modi to provide all feasible help.

The medical unit of the Indian Army was also dispatched to provide extensive assistance to a significant number of earthquake victims.

Modi stated to the personnel who had returned from earthquake-ravaged Turkey, “You have done a great service to humanity and made India proud.”

Modi informed the relief teams, “We view the globe as a single family, and it is our responsibility to assist any member in need.”

He stated that India has strengthened its identity in recent years as a self-sufficient country that is also altruistic and helps other nations.

He stated that India is always prepared to be the first nation to respond to a global disaster.

“We must strengthen our reputation as the top relief and rescue squad in the world,” he continued.

Modi stated in a tweet that their catastrophe reaction and humanitarian activities were impressive.

Earlier in the day, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesman Arindam Bagchi announced that the Indian Army medical team deployed in Turkey as part of Operation Dost had landed in India.

He stated that the 99-member self-sufficient team successfully established and operated a 30-bed Field Hospital in Iskenderun, Hatay, treating approximately 4,000 patients around the clock.

“Last #OperationDost NDRF team returns home from Turkey. 3 Teams of 151 @NDRFHQ troops and dog squads assisted earthquake-ravaged Turkey “Bagchi announced on Sunday via Twitter.

“Search, rescue, and relief activities, including life detection, were conducted at 35 work sites in Nurda and Antakya,” he stated.

India started ‘Operation Dost’ to provide help to Turkey and Syria after a terrible earthquake struck diverse portions of both nations on February 6 and killed more than 40,000 people.
