
On Monday, the Supreme Court agreed to consider a petition by the National Commission for the cover of kid Rights complex in the geographic area and Haryana HighCourt’ss order that a minor Muslim woman marries an individual of her selection.

The top court said it would look into the issue and has fixed the matter for a hearing on November 7.
The single-judge bench of the tribunal had passed the order on June thirteen on a petition by a Muslim couple from Pathankot; WHO had approached the court seeking protection.
The High Court had said that the issue to be considered in the matter was not concerning the validity of the marriage but to allay the apprehension of danger to their life and liberty by the petitioners.
It had directed the Senior Superintendent of Police, Pathankot, to determine the representation of the petitioners and take the required action as per law.
“The court cannot take its eyes off the fact that the apprehensions of the petitioners need to be eased. Merely because the petitioners have married against their family members’ wishes not possibly be deprived of the fundamental rights envisaged in the Constitution of India,” the High Court said.
