Fahad Ahmad, a member of the Samajwadi Party and the husband of actor Swara Bhasker, questioned the police’s honesty after a picture of Mohit Yadav alias Monu Manesar with a police officer went viral on social media. Yadav is wanted for the murders of two Muslim men from Rajasthan, Nasir and Junaid, but he is still at large.
Fahad posted the picture on Twitter and asked when the police would stop protecting the killers and where someone could get justice.

“I believe in justice a lot, but seeing pictures like this makes my faith very weak. If the police protect the people who kill, where can people go to get justice? “Such officials gave #Monu Manesar the courage to burn people alive,” tweeted the state president of Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha, the youth wing of the Samajwadi Party.
In the last five years, Manesar, a member of the Bajrang Dal, has become a well-known face of cow vigilantism in Haryana. His presence on social media has helped him do this.
In 2011, he became a co-coordinator for the Bajrang Dal in his home district of Manesar. After Haryana’s cow protection law went into effect in December 2015, he was a member of the district cow protection task force set up by the government.
He is now the district president of Bajrang Dal. He often stirs up trouble with the actions of his own cow protection group and shares videos of vigilantes chasing, confronting, and catching people who are thought to be selling cows illegally. Thousands of people have watched and talked about the videos, which are mostly live streams. He has more than 2 lakh subscribers on YouTube and 83,000 fans on Facebook. In October of last year, when he had more than one million subscribers, YouTube gave him a silver play button.
Nasir, 25, and Junaid alias Juna, 35, both from the village of Ghatmeeka in the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan, were found dead in a burned-out car in Loharu, Bhiwani, Haryana, last Thursday.
