The CBI arrests a man for blackmailing a professor

In an arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), a man was accused of blackmailing a professor with explicit video chats with a woman accomplice. The blackmailers allegedly demanded $48,000 from the professor.
Using information from the US Federal Bureau of Investigation, the CBI arrested Rahul Kumar. His purported girlfriend is being searched for,” said a CBI spokesperson.
According to officials, the woman befriended the economist on Facebook and asked him to send a sexually explicit video.
After receiving the video, she told the professor her boyfriend Rahul recorded it and they blackmailed the US-based professor with threats to send it to university authorities and prominent US-based journalists,” the spokesperson said.
