The Congress has called the release of six convicts in Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination case ‘completely unacceptable and completely erroneous’

As of Friday, the Congress said that the Supreme Court’s order releasing all six convicts serving life sentences in connection with the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case is “completely unacceptable and completely erroneous.”.
On this issue, the apex court has not acted according to the spirit of India, according to the party.

Earlier this week, the Supreme Court ordered the release of all six remaining convicts serving life sentences in connection with the Rajiv Gandhi death assassination case, including Nalini Sriharan, R P Ravichandran, Santhan, Murugan, Robert Payas and Jayakumar.
“The decision of the Supreme Court to release the remaining killers of former prime minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi is totally unacceptable and completely incorrect,” said AICC General Secretary In-Charge Communications Jairam Ramesh.
Undoubtedly, the Congress Party criticizes it strongly and finds it wholly unsustainable. Sadly, the Supreme Court has not acted in accordance with the spirit of India on this issue,” he added.
