The German Foreign Minister is here for a two-day visit

A statement from the German embassy said Annalena Baerbock will arrive in India on Monday on a two-day visit to discuss the global consequences of the Russian war in Ukraine.
A spokesman for the Federal Foreign Office said Friday in Berlin that cooperation on the energy transition will also be part of the visit. As part of this, Baerbock will visit projects in rural New Delhi that promote renewable energies and sustainability.
Aside from Russia’s war against Ukraine and its consequences, including in the energy sector, Baerbock’s talks with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar are likely to cover India’s relationship with China.
The spokesperson says the minister will also visit the Election Commission of India. A meeting with civil society and NGOs working for women’s rights is also planned.
Additionally, the minister will participate in a trilateral India forum of the German Marshall Fund, which is about Indo-Pacific cooperation. At different locations, American, European, and Indian experts from politics think tanks, and business meet.
