The Lok Sabha has been postponed until 2 pm as the Parliamentary logjam continues.

The Lok Sabha was postponed until 2 p.m. on Tuesday as the Parliamentary logjam continued due to MP protests and the House’s inability to operate.

When the House reconvened at 11 a.m., Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla announced that Question Hour would begin. Opposition members, on the other hand, marched to the House well and began raising chants calling for the formation of a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to investigate the Adani Group’s charges of fraud and stock manipulation.

The protesting MPs were asked to return to their seats by the Speaker. “I had personally requested leaders of all parties yesterday; I want to request the honourable members again that let the Parliament work. The Budget Session is crucial. Everyone will have enough opportunity to speak. You may enter the well if you do not receive a chance to speak after the Question Period. If you do not wish to conduct the House, the proceedings are adjourned until 2 p.m.,” Birla stated, adjourning the House.

Since the Budget Session commenced on March 13, both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha have been adjourned several times.
