The NIA has filed a supplementary chargesheet against a suspected Hizbul militant

As part of a criminal conspiracy to carry out attacks in various parts of the country, including Uttar Pradesh, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed a supplementary charge sheet on Friday against an overground worker (OGW) of the Hizbul Mujahideen terror outfit.
Danish Naseer, a resident of Sounder village in Kishtwar district, has been charged with criminal conspiracy under IPC section 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act sections 17, 18 and 38, according to the NIA spokesperson.
Irrespective of the fact that the case was originally registered on September 12, 2018, at the Anti-Terrorist Squad Police Station in Lucknow, it was then re-registered by the NIA 12 days later in order to conduct an in-depth investigation.
During the investigation, it has been established that Naseer worked as a member of Hizbul Mujahideen’s OGW and provided shelter and support to active terrorists of this organization. According to the spokesperson, Kamruz Zaman was knowingly facilitated by him to commit terrorist acts because he was part of a larger conspiracy.
Naseer is also alleged to have transferred an amount of Rs 30,000 to Zaman for the purpose of furthering the terrorist activities of the group.
