On Saturday, the Indian Space Research Organisation launched an Earth Observation Satellite (EOS) and eight other co-passengers into multiple orbits, calling it a “unique” mission.
Modi tweeted, “Have you seen the amazing images from the recently launched EOS-06 satellite? Here are some pretty pictures of Gujarat. Space technology advances will help us predict cyclones better and boost our coastal economy.”
EOS-06 is an advanced third-generation satellite for studying ocean biophysics. Fishing zones can be identified, weather forecasts can be made, wind velocity and cyclones can be detected, and cyclones can be tracked.
