The second phase of DU Admissions 2022 begins today. Here are 9 things you need to know

Today is the start of Delhi University’s second round of admissions. On the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS), registered candidates must indicate their preferences for programmes and DU-affiliated colleges. Before confirming the programme and college preference, applicants must complete the maximum number of preferences and read the UG Bulletin of Information carefully.

On October 10, the second phase of admissions will end. During this phase, we take you through all the steps:

  1. The candidate’s eligibility for programs will be displayed on the portal in the second phase. Each programme’s eligibility criteria and the candidate’s normalized CUET scores will be considered.
  2. There’s no need for candidates to enter their scores. A CSAS system will automatically fill in the four best scores.
  3. The number of programmes candidates can choose from is up to them. It is possible to select all programmes if you wish.
  4. A list of colleges offering the programme the candidate has chosen will be displayed on the portal.
  5. It is up to candidates to decide which programs and colleges they wish to apply to. Preferences may be given in any number.
  6. The selections made will be displayed in a new window.
  7. You can reshuffle the order based on your preferences.
  8. In the next step, candidates must confirm their preferences. Please adhere to the deadline. Until the last date (October 10), your last saved preference order will be locked automatically and used to allocate seats if you have not confirmed them.
  9. Once preferences are submitted, they cannot be changed

“A candidate’s order of preferences will determine where they will be admitted. All combinations should be applied to all colleges, according to our advice. Since this is the first time, we don’t have a history of data, so we don’t know where a candidate may end up. A candidate who leaves out a particular programme in a particular college cannot be assigned or upgraded to it even if there is a vacancy and they are properly placed on the merit list. We have the systems in place to accept 5,000 programme-college combinations,” said Dean Admissions Haneet Gandhi.
