The wooden model of the Kashi Vishwanath temple was the top bidder at the PM memento e-auction, garnering 282 bids

At the inauguration of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham last year, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented the Kashi Vishwanath temple model to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, generating 282 bids, making it the most sought-after item at the e-auction of Prime Minister’s mementos.

Its starting price was Rs 16,200, but so far, the highest bid is Rs 49.61 lakh.

The 65-member Indian Deaflympic team’s T-shirt autographed at Brazil 2022 is a close second. Bidding has reached Rs 47.69 lakh with 222 bids. A badminton racket autographed by Thomas Cup gold medalist K Srikant has gotten 212 bids, reaching Rs 48.2 lakh. There is a base price of Rs 5 lakh for both items. A 10-day extension has been granted to the auction, which had been originally set to end on Sunday at 5 pm.

There are 25 sports memorabilia items, most of which start at Rs 5 lakh and range from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 47 lakh. Red boxing gloves autographed by the men’s and women’s boxing teams at the Common Wealth Games 2022 have attracted 181 bids, with Rs 44.13 lakh as the top bid.

Additionally, there are 100 bids for a memento of the Chennai Chess Olympiad, going for Rs 19.65 lakh, and a replica of the Golden Temple with 100 bids.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister presented the Prime Minister with a glass case containing a model of the under-construction Ram Temple in Ayodhya, which has received 89 bids. It is quoted at a price of Rs 6.85 lakh at its highest. 138 bids have been placed on the black marble sculpture of Subhas Chandra Bose presented by sculptor Arun Yogiraj to the Prime Minister, with the highest bid reaching Rs 41.71 lakh.

PMMementos.gov.in is hosting an online auction of over 1,200 items. This e-auction will also feature angavastram, paintings, sculptures, folk artifacts, and handicrafts.
