Today, the Prime Minister will visit Kedarnath and Badrinath

The Prime Minister will visit Kedarnath and Badrinath on Friday to offer prayers and lay the foundation stone for connectivity projects worth more than Rs 3,400 crore, including the ropeway projects at Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib.
During his visit to the two shrines, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed the preparations for the visit of the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister is expected to arrive at Kedarnath temple around 8.30 am and offer prayers. He will lay the foundation stone for the Kedarnath ropeway project around 9 am. In addition, he will visit the samadhi of Adi Guru Shankaracharya. He will review various development projects, such as Mandakini Asthapath and Saraswati Asthapath. The construction workers will also be able to interact with him.
He will then proceed to Badrinath temple, where he will perform darshan and pooja at approximately 11.30 am. The laying of the foundation stone will follow a review of the progress of the development of the riverfront for the road and ropeway projects at Mana village at 12.30 pm.
Afterwards, he will review the progress of the development of the arrival plaza and lakes.
As a result of the 9.7 km ropeway in Kedarnath, the travel time between Gaurikund and Kedarnath will be reduced from 6-7 hours to 30 minutes. The Hemkund project will include a ropeway connecting Govindghat to Hemkund Sahib.
