Watch Priyanka join Rahul Gandhi on his Bharat Jodo Yatra

As part of the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Madhya Pradesh, Rahul Gandhi was joined by his wife, Priyanka Gandhi, on Thursday. As well as Priyanka, her husband, Robert Vadra is expected to join the yatra.
According to reports, Priyanka, the general secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Congress, arrived in Indore on Wednesday. Rahul met her early Thursday morning, dressed in a white salwar kameez and a brown puffer jacket.
On Twitter, Congress shared a photograph of the duo with the caption, “The steps will be strong when we walk together.” Congress Seva Dal MP further added that the Connect India campaign and resolution would gain new momentum due to their participation.
From Kanyakumari, the Bharat Jodo Yatra took off on Sept. 7. It entered Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday, where Rahul was welcomed by several Congress members holding the tricolour. During the formal launch of the 12-day-long yatra in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole presented the tricolour to his counterpart Kamal Nath, where the yatra will cover a distance of 380 kilometers before entering Rajasthan.
Other senior Congress leaders present at the event included former chief minister Digvijaya Singh, leader of the opposition in the MP Assembly, Govind Singh, and former union ministers Suresh Pachouri and Arun Yadav.
It is expected that Madhya Pradesh will go to polls next year, and the Congress party hopes that this yatra will boost their preparations.
It will pass through Malwa-Nimar in western Madhya Pradesh, where the Congress won a convincing victory over the BJP in 2018 and formed a government under Nath. During the next 12 days, Gandhi’s Yatra will cover 380 kilometers in the Malwa-Nimar region of Madhya Pradesh before entering Rajasthan.
