On Tuesday, Army Chief Gen Manoj Pande stated that India will continue to face terrorism and internal security difficulties in the future and that the country’s security services will deal with them “unitedly.”
He was speaking after launching the All India Police Commando Competition, which was hosted by the federal contingency force National Security Guard (NSG) at its Manesar garrison.
According to Gen Pande, new-age technology has enabled the enemy to carry out its operations via drones, the internet, cyberspace, and social media.
“You are all aware that terrorism and the internal security crisis are harming our country in various ways. We are facing these issues as a group. As a result, the (security) situation in several states is improving.

“These difficulties will remain in the future. Some of these difficulties will be there for a long time, while others will be present indirectly, and some will remain hidden,” he stated.
The “possibility” of terrorist attacks in the country, according to Gen Pande, cannot be overlooked, and he congratulated intelligence and security agencies for foiling and defeating a number of such schemes and networks.
He lauded the NSG, a federal counter-terrorist organisation, for gaining specific talents in bomb detection and disposal, sniping, drone counter-terrorist operations, and efficiently cooperating with other security agencies.
The competition, which runs until March 31, has 24 teams from various Central Military Police Forces and state police organisations.
