India witnesses a slight decline in Covid cases; 9,111 cases and 27 deaths are recorded.

India saw a minor decrease in daily Covid cases, with 9,111 new cases since last Thursday when it recorded over 10,000 new cases. According to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Monday, 27 fatalities occurred in the past 24 hours.

Six deaths were reported in Gujarat, four in Uttar Pradesh, three each in Delhi and Rajasthan, two in Maharashtra, one each in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, and three were reconciled by Kerala, according to data that was last updated at 8 a.m.

The daily positivity rate was determined to be 8.40%, while the weekly positivity rate was 4.94%.

According to data from the Ministry of Health of the Union, the number of active cases increased to 60,313, and the mortality toll rose to 5,31,141. The total number of Covid cases was 4.47 billion (4,48,27,226).

According to data from the ministry, active cases now account for 0.13 percent of all infections. The national Covid-19 recovery rate is 98.68 percent.

The number of individuals who have recovered from the disease increased to 4,423,572, while the case fatality rate reached 1.19 percent.

Currently, 220.66 billion doses of the Covid vaccine have been administered nation-wide as part of the vaccination campaign.

  1. The state health department of Maharashtra reported 650 new coronavirus infections and two deaths on Sunday, bringing the total number of cases to 81,55,839 and the death toll to 1,48,479.
  2. Sunday saw 1,634 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Delhi, with a positivity rate of 29.68 percent, according to data shared by the city’s health department.
