Parliamentary Budget Session from January 31 to April 6

Friday, Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi stated that the Budget Session of Parliament will begin on January 31 and continue till April 6. 27 sittings will be held over 66 days, with a hiatus from February 14 to March 12. According to tradition, the Union Budget is scheduled to be introduced on February 1.

“The 2023 Budget Session of Parliament will begin on 31 January and end on 6 April, with 27 sittings spanning 66 days and the usual recesses. Joshi tweeted that he was anticipating talks on the Motion of Thanks for the President’s Address, the Union Budget, and other matters during the Amrit Kaal.

“During the Budget Session of 2023, there will be a pause from February 14 to March 12 to allow the department-related Standing Committees of Parliament to evaluate the Demands for Grants and make reports pertaining to their Ministries/Departments,” he added.
