Thursday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that he has the courage to discuss the border standoff between the Indian and Chinese militaries in the Lok Sabha.

Singh referred to the nation’s border security and the role of science in safeguarding the nation’s borders as he initiated a discussion in the House on the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission and other accomplishments in the space sector.

At this point, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury mentioned the impasse with China at the border.

The minister of defence responded that he has the fortitude to discuss the matter.

“Puri Himmat Hain (I am of sound mind)” I am prepared for a discussion and have the self-assurance to do so,” he asserted.

Since the deadly confrontations in June 2020 in the Galwan Valley, relations between India and China have been severely strained.

Indian and Chinese troops have been engaged in a three-year conflict at certain friction points in eastern Ladakh, despite having concluded the disengagement from several areas following extensive diplomatic and military negotiations.

India has consistently maintained that peace and tranquilly along the LAC are essential for the overall normalisation of relations.
