If convicted, you will initiate a case against the court: Rijiju criticised Kejriwal’s remarks on the CBI and ED.

Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju mocked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday for his remarks about suing the CBI and ED, stating that the AAP leader will suit the court if convicted.

Saturday, Kejriwal announced that he will sue CBI and ED officials for allegedly committing perjury and submitting false affidavits in court.

Rijiju tagged Kejriwal’s tweet with the statement that corruption has never been an issue for him.

“I apologise to Anna Ji (activist Anna Hazare). You had no idea you were transferring such a massive burden to the country,” the minister tweeted.

Rijiju also provided excerpts from an old, undated interview with Kejriwal, in which he allegedly stated that it was sometimes necessary to align with the corrupt in order to defeat BJP stalwarts, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.

“You neglected to specify that you will also file a lawsuit against the honourable court if it convicts you. Let the law run its course, and we must believe in the rule of law,’ said the minister of justice.

The CBI summoned Kejriwal to its headquarters on Sunday in connection with alleged irregularities in formulating and implementing the now-defunct excise policy.
